Into The West!

Last weekend UL had a trip "into the West!"

Despite the rain, the places we went were outrageously beautiful!

Of course we all did look like tourists with our camera in our hands going to all the touristy spots.
I do have to say, the wet toes, and the foggy lenses, made it an experience I wont forget.

Our day went as follows:
08.00 Pick up from the University of Limerick
09.30 Arrive at the Cliffs of Moher
11.00 Depart the Cliffs of Moher
11.20 Arrive at the Burren
11.40 Depart Burren
12.00 Arrive in Lisdoonvarna for Lunch
13.30 Depart Lisdoonvarna
14.00 Arrive at Ailwee Caves
15.00 Depart the Ailwee Caves
16.15 Arrive at Bunratty
17.15 Depart Bunratty
17.45 Drop off back at the UL

The Cliffs of Moher were unreal.
Even in the rain it was nothing short of amazing.
I would Love to go back to Clare and see the scenery again..
The museum they had there was also very nice and definitely worth seeing.

The Burren was crazy as well. The place was underwater at one point our tour guide informed us.
It's pretty crazy to believe that.

Lisdoonvarna was unforgettable because of the song made about it...
and because nothing in the town was open..

But the Ailwee Caves were unbelievable. They were discovered by a man chasing after his dog.
At one point our tour guide shut off the lights, and you could not see your hand in front of your face. I never experienced anything like it..

By the time we arrived at Bunratty I was so exhausted and soaking wet, but it was a quaint little town with overpriced shops for the tourists willing to buy, but none- the - less, it was spectacular.

When we got home that night our roommate was home.
We watched Blue Crush, and it turned out to be an amazing night.

Sunday our roommate took us to Eddie Rockets..
It's a burger place.
Their grilled chicken burger is to die for!
It was literally something amazing.

The rainbow last week was breath-taking!
It was the brightest rainbow I have ever seen!
There is something great about the crazy weather here..

During the week another one of our roommates made lasagna and oh ti was delish!
We didn't have butter for the cheese sauce, but I honestly don't know how it could have been any better.
They put veggies like carrots in it, which made me skeptical, but it was one of the best things I have had here.

I do have to say, we are seriously the luckiest people with the roommates we have.
They are some of the nicest people I have met in my entire life.
